  • Resolving a complex land dispute in Warwickshire, concerning the breakdown in relations between four co-owners of high value land, and assisting in reaching terms of agreement and the division of the disputed land.
  • Reaching a commercial settlement with Insurers on behalf of a client whose vehicle was stolen from a garage forecourt, whilst being marketed for sale. Proceedings were issued to seek damages, including the payment to client for the value of the vehicle and which were ultimately settled by Insurers making payment in respect of the value of the stolen vehicle (in excess of £20,000), together with the client’s costs of the proceedings.
  • Assisting a client in disputing the default interest rate being applied to a bridging loan at 20%, which had risen to in excess of £12 million but was settled at £250,000, following the issuing of proceedings under the Consumer Credit Act.
  • Acting for the Claimant in a 4-day Trial in the Technology and Construction Court before Her Honour Judge Watson, concerning the construction of a £1.4 million pound JCT contract and obtaining Judgment for the client in excess of £300k and successfully resisting an Appeal.
  • Acting on behalf of a Liquidator of an insolvent company, to obtain a judgment of circa £200,000 against a former Director who had misappropriated funds from the company.
  • Advising a former Director of a limited company in respect of the validity of a Personal Guarantee given for the debts of his business and thereafter obtaining a much reduced settlement figure on its behalf.
  • Advising on and preparing a full set of Terms and Conditions and policies for a bespoke internet based business.
  • Assisting a client in recovering monies invested into a failed investment scheme, by pursuing a Personal Guarantee and Indemnity provided to her and securing repayment and interest on the investment monies of in excess of £200,000.
  • Representing Company Directors who were being pursued by the Insolvency Service to seek to have them disqualified as Directors and successfully obtaining an agreement that no further action be taken.
  • Representing a client in a case bought against him in the Upper Land Tribunal, to have a covenant over land removed. Securing client a payment of £100,000 to modify the covenant.
  • Representing a company in proceedings issued for an Injunction to prevent the infringement of the company’s right of way/access by a large international company and successfully obtaining a perpetual Injunction after a five day trial and recovering client’s costs in excess of £100,000.
